'Trust The Process,' is a little phrase that we're all probably a little sick of and proud of at the same time.
When we look back at where it started (in this context at least), we can whittle it down to this; Tony Wroten said it, Pablo Torre wrote it, we ran with it, Joel Embiid perfected it.
It's been a long time coming, but we've finally got ESPN's Pablo Torre on the podcast to talk about his original Hinkie article, where it all went, and how awesome Joel Embiid is.

The season begins this week, and we look ahead and make our predictions for the 2016-17 Sixers. How long will Nerlens Noel be on the team? How much longer will everyone fight about it? How many games will they win? Will Ben Simmons play at all? Will Hollis Thompson shoot 40% from three? How long will it take us to make a lewd joke about Jerryd Bayless' wrist soreness?
And finally... Joel Embiid?
Sat, 8 October 2016
Joel Embiid really played a game! Then he played another one! And he looked good! We discuss Embiid's debut, his embracing of his new nickname, and how everyone else on the team looked in the first two games.
Then, we're treated to a game of TEST THE PROCESS! Boy, this will be embarrassing. Spike and Mike compete against each other in a round of trivia hosted by none other than Andrew 'Invented Sauce Castillo, The Nickname Not The Guy,' Unterberger. You can follow the great Andrew Unterberger on Twitter @AUGetOffMyGold. You can read his work and his questionable opinions about music at Billboard.

Hey, here we are again! We discuss the news about Ben Simmons, make up scenarios, and help you get through it. Let us know if you find out who is helping us get through it.
We also talk about Nerlens Noel's comments at camp, and what the Sixers lineup may look like now.

There is no theoretical physicist, acclaimed writer, or audiobook on this week's Ricky, just some riffing about the Sixers.
We talk about Bryan Colangelo's appearance on The Vertical Podcast, the opening of the new practice facility, NBA2K 17, the 20 man roster, Vegas' over/under for the team, and Joel Embiid's upcoming debut. We also discuss Sam Hinkie's follows on Twitter.

It's been two weeks, so we have a lot to talk about. Also, it's the offseason, so we're committed to doing something pretty different or absurd in each podcast.
First, we discuss Sam Hinkie's Twitter awakening, Allen Iverson's Hall Of Fame speech, Brett Brown's press lunch, the return of Elton Brand, and the various Embiid media of the week.
Then, we provide you with something incredible and ridiculous. We've recorded and put together an audiobook of Sam Hinkie's resignation letter. The various pages are read by us, LL Pavorsky, Max Rappaport and Jim Adair, Chris Ryan and Andy Greenwald, Sean Carroll, Andrew Goldstein, Ben Detrick, Mike Weber, Michael Baumann, and Eliza Hardy Jones. This is an all-timer.

Our offseason of intelligence soldiers on with Philadelphia native and Caltech Theoretical Physicist Sean Carroll.
We talk about what he thought of Hinkie's departure, Noel vs. Okafor, and what it's like to be a theoretical physicist AND a Sixers fan.
We also talk about the multiverse, his new book The Big Picture, and whether or not we're living in a simulation.

Hey, Spike here, I'm writing the intro to this one.
I've long said that Chuck Klosterman writes like I would want to write if I was smarter. He's my favorite writer of all time.
We were lucky enough to have Chuck on the podcast for an hour (!!) to talk about the Sixers, The Process, Sam Hinkie, Chip Kelly, and of course his new, awesome book, 'What If We're Wrong? Thinking About The Present As If It Were The Past.'

Many people ask us, "when are you going to get over it," and the answer is always "never!" At the very least, it's "not yet."
Because it's August and there's not much else to discuss, on today's Ricky we grade every single transaction of the Sam Hinkie era of Sixers basketball. We also briefly discuss the reported delay in the construction of the new practice facility.
