The Rights To Ricky Sanchez: The Sixers Podcast (time's yours)

This is not a full podcast, it's just instructions and info for Bus The Process 2. Also, we'll be doing a farewell party and salute to Hollis Thompson before the buses leave at XFINITY Live! on 1/14/17 from 1p till 3p. Half price apps and $3 drafts. You can even come if you're not going on the bus trip.

Since our last podcast, nothing changed with the Nerlens Noel situation and the Sixers, and everything changed. Bryan Colangelo spoke, and Joel Embiid spoke *out*, saying that he'd like to give the Twin Towers experience a try with Noel instead of Okafor. We also discuss Alt-Process leader Ben Detrick's piece on The Ringer suggesting possible trades for each.

Finally, we took some questions from our friends at r/Sixers, for the first ever Ricky AMA.

We also play the brand new song from Process Truster and actual musician, John Vincent, called "Chu Chu The F**kin' Legend."

For the first time ever, Joel Embiid said he did not trust the process. Coincidentally, that was the first time that Jahlil Okafor started along side him. And then it got even less fun when Nerlens Noel returned against the Lakers and only played eight minutes. We talk about the Triple Towers experiment, Jerryd Bayless' wrist surgery and subsequent missing of the season, the "return" of Ben Simmons to the court, and recap the week's games.

We also reveal the original members of the Retweet Armageddon Congress.

They said it would never happen! Well, Spike said it would never happen. It looks like Nerlens Noel is going to return to play for the Sixers. We'll discuss how he'll fit. We also recap the week in Sixers, give out some quarter-season grades, talk about Bus The Process II (F*ck Andrew Sharp), the Retweet Armageddon Congress, and the new Ricky theme song by Amos Lee and Jaron Olevsky.

You heard us right! There is a Bus The Process II, on January 14th, to Washington D.C. to see Sixers vs. Wizards. For just $85, you'll get the bus down to D.C. (yes there is an option for those who live there and don't need the bus), a ticket to the game, snacks on the bus, a commemorative t-shirt from Cheesesteaktees, your picture on center court, and you'll shoot a free throw on the court after the game. Go to THIS LOCATION for all the details and purchase tickets from Phans Of Philly. It's going to be a lot of fun.

A huge, unreal thanks to Chef Olev And Sammos Hinklie, also known to the world as Amos Lee and his keyboardist/musical director Jaron Olevsky for the new Ricky theme song "Stay A Believer (Trust The Process)," a song written and recorded for Process Trusters everywhere (also I just named the song). Amos, in case you haven't heard, is from Philadelphia and a huge Truster Of The Process (read this great profile on Amos and the Sixers by Jason Lipshutz at Billboard). You can buy Amos' new album 'Spirit,' which is great. His entire library is great. Thanks Amos and Jaron!

Joel Embiid is playing basketball, Dario Saric is a Sixer in Philadelphia, and the Sixers won the lottery. So it's time for Retweet Armageddon, right? Not so fast. We take your suggestions on when the online day of reckoning should happen, talk about the new Sam Hinkie long-read in Sports Illustrated, discuss the losses to the Cavs, Raptors and Magic, and the debut of the twin-towers lineup with Embiid and Okafor.

Also we talk about the Sixers as compared to The Ship Of Theseus, thanks to Sean Carroll.

We recap the week in Sixers, including the double-overtime loss to the Grizzlies, the Embiid-less obliteration by the Bulls, the win over the Heat, and Robert Covington's sorta-break out of his slump. We also briefly preview the Cavs game, and take a ton of questions from Twitter.

Somehow, someway, Nik Stauskas is playing like a man possessed. Somehow, some way, Robert Covington has forgotten how to shoot. We those things, the win over the Wizards, the matchup with the Timberwolves, and the Sixers decision to rest Joel Embiid at home.

For the first time in a few years, the Sixers won a game before December. To put that in perspective, the last time the Sixers won a game before December, that Sixers team had Evan Turner and Spencer Hawes on it.

We do talk about the election for the first 45 or 46 minutes. It is spirited but we still love each other and you. You can skip past it if you've had enough.

We discuss the win over the Pacers, the near-win over the Pacers, the return of Robert Covington to the land of the living, the Joel Embiid podcast with Woj, JoJo's rest and the early success of the Los Angeles Lakers. Also, the newly discovered controversy regarding Bryan Colangelo.

Here we are, winless and arguing about Brett Brown's late-game coaching. Is it a product of a young, flawed roster, or is it time to hold Brown accountable? Sounds familiar.

We discuss Brown's coaching and the chances he makes it through the year, the greatness that is Joel Embiid, the Jerami Grant trade, the Nerlens Noel rumors, Robert Covington's shooting struggles, Jerry Colangelo's stepping down at USA Basketball, and more!

'Trust The Process,' is a little phrase that we're all probably a little sick of and proud of at the same time.

When we look back at where it started (in this context at least), we can whittle it down to this; Tony Wroten said it, Pablo Torre wrote it, we ran with it, Joel Embiid perfected it.

It's been a long time coming, but we've finally got ESPN's Pablo Torre on the podcast to talk about his original Hinkie article, where it all went, and how awesome Joel Embiid is.
