Zhaire Smith goes down with another injury, and we welcome Mike's writing parter Patrick Kang to talk about their TV show script about Ben Simmons and his family, Brotherly Love. Bryan Colangelo couldn't get anyone to hire him so he bought part of a team in Australia... we won't be letting this one go. Josh Harris bought part of the Steelers, Joel Embiid got a driver's license, so we try to figure out how it happened and remember our driving tests. We discuss the ridiculous, hilarious rules in Orlando, name Al Horford after a hotel, listen to Spike's blackjack stories, and do not talk to Tony Wroten, who is taking part in the TBT Tournament. The trade deadline is coming! The Sixers Adam Trade Machine is here! The Sixers continue to manage to take just all all of the fun out of basketball, and still win a couple of games, Furkan Korkmaz is the best player on the team, Markelle Fultz had a triple double and a game winner on the road against the Lakers, Mike Scott and Al Horford might be washed, and Sixers Adam makes his first appearance on the Ricky to propose some trade ideas including one for a high level point guard.

The Sixers pulled out a win at home over the Nets with a strong fourth quarter, in a game that featured many of the problems and issues they’ve had all season long. Even though it’s after a win, Mike sounds tortured and concerned, as we talk about what the team is, and what they could be. We discuss the job Brett Brown has done this year, what is and is not his fault, and if he could lose his job before the end of the season. Finally, we talk about Joel Embiid’s new shoe and piece in the Player’s Tribune.

The Sixers problems on the road, and creating offense in the half-court continued in Dallas after one of their best first half performances of the season. Can the Sixers adjust with the personnel they have or is a trade necessary? We diagnose the issues on offense and defense, talk about potential trade targets and who might go, and dip into the mailbag for some questions about Elton Brand, cloning Sixers players, Uncut Gems and more.

Joel Embiid will be reevaluated in two weeks for an injury that he inexplicably returned to the game with. Brett Brown has decided to take a blowtorch to the defensive scheme without Embiid. We’ll discuss how they’ll survive and what we can expect, and if it can secretly be good for Embiid. Oh yeah, that stupid asshole Andrew Sharp is unbanned for one episode to promote his stupid new podcast, Greatest Of All Talk, which you have to pay for?

We love our Australian Ricky listeners and are sad to see what’s happening with the brush fires going on, which have destroyed a ton of land, killed millions of animals, and threaten the lives of many. Joel Embiid looks miserable, Al Horford looks terrible, and the Sixers are in the midst of a four-game losing streak. The players are talking about accountability, Brett Brown likes their spirit and wonders if they can flip the switch, and everyone is begging Ben Simmons to shoot threes. Is it possible for the Sixers to right the ship in a real way without major roster changes, and who needs to sacrifice and change to make it happen?
